Heelwork to Music/Freestyle
UNDER CONSTRUCTION
What is Heelwork to Music or Freestyle?
Heelwork to Music and Freestyle are where the dog and handler move in sync performing moves and tricks in time with a set piece of music.
There are four different routine types you can work in with the most popular being Freestyle due to the generally unlimited number of positions and tricks you can have in your routine.
It is an intricate sport and can be enjoyed using modest moves through to the very tricky.
Gordon Setters really enjoy this activity due to the sheer number of moves they can learn.
How do I find a show?
The Royal Kennel Club and specialist sites.
How does Judging work?
There are usually 3 judges who mark the performance based on move ability, move accuracy and musical interpretation. The marks are added up and the highest score wins.
